Casa da Arquitectura attends QSP Summit with special session on the strategic role of architecture
Casa da Arquitectura will be present at the 18th edition of the QSP Summit, one of Europe's largest management and marketing events, which will take place between 1 and 3 July. The institution will have a space in the exhibition area, where visitors can learn more about its mission, programme and contribution to the promotion of contemporary architecture.
The highlight of the participation will be the Casa da Arquitectura Special Session, scheduled for 3 July at 4.30 pm on Stage B, lasting 90 minutes. The session, entitled ‘Architecture as a Strategic Driver for the Territory and the Country’, proposes an in-depth reflection on the role of architecture as a strategic factor in the economic, tourist, social and cultural development of Portugal.
The debate will feature contributions from Carlos Mota dos Santos, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of the Executive Committee of Mota-Engil, Inês Lobo, architect and professor at DAUAL, and Nuno Sampaio, executive director of Casa da Arquitectura. The debate will be moderated by Manuel Carvalho, senior editor of the Público newspaper.
Among the topics highlighted are:
• Architecture as a strategic driver for the country;
• Its role in the internationalisation of the construction sector;
• The appreciation of contemporary architecture as a national asset;
• The transformative impact of architecture on the territory and quality of life;
• The urgency of defining consistent and lasting public policies.
This initiative is part of a series of Special Sessions promoted by different brands and entities in collaboration with the QSP Summit, with the aim of discussing pressing issues and promoting innovation and strategic thinking in a wide range of sectors.
The participation of Casa da Arquitectura reinforces its role as a platform for promoting Portuguese architecture and as an active agent in the discussion on the future of the territory and cities.
The QSP SUMMIT 2025, scheduled for 1-3 July, will have as its theme ‘The New Strategic Drivers’. In its 18th edition, the event will bring together more than 100 national and international speakers, spread across seven thematic stages. Topics such as leadership, technological innovation, organisational culture, sustainability and artificial intelligence will be addressed, with the aim of reflecting on the main drivers shaping the future of organisations.
