Casa da Arquitectura at the International Forum on Architectural Heritage
The 6 FIPA - International Forum on Architectural Heritage had as main theme "The Preservation of Multiculturalism in Cultural Heritage" and had the co-organization of the University of Aveiro (Coordination), the General Direction for Cultural Heritage (DGPC), the Municipality of Batalha and the Batalha Monastery, with the support of partners like Rota do Românico and Instituto Politécnico de Leiria from Portugal. From Brazil, the Institute of National Historical and Artistic Heritage (IPHAN), Institute of Architects of Brazil, Council of Architecture and Urbanism of São Paulo (CAU SP) and UIA2020 (Brazil).
The Forum is an opportunity for reciprocal debate destined to technicians, the scientific community, companies, cultural agents, City Councils, institutions related to the Heritage preservation and maintenance and all those interested in this topic. The two days of the Forum had moments of debate for a broader participation.
O Fórum pretende divulgar e debater o trabalho que tem sido desenvolvido nos dois países em torno do Património edificado, das políticas e estratégias de salvaguarda, das metodologias integradas de intervenção, reabilitação e dinamização como processo de criação de valor. Teve como objetivo principal a partilha de saberes e experiências ao nível técnico, científico e cultural que permitirá consolidar ações conjuntas, parcerias e, ainda, o debate em torno das políticas culturais relativas à gestão do Património, com especial enfoque na ligação entre Portugal e o Brasil e o seu legado comum.
Os temas em debate nesta 6ªedição do FIPA foram:
The Forum wishes to promote and discuss the work that has been developed in the two countries on the built Heritage, on policies and strategies for safeguarding, on integrated methodologies for intervention, rehabilitation and dynamism as a process of value creation. Its main objective was to share knowledge and experiences at the technical, scientific and cultural level that will allow the consolidation of joint actions, partnerships and, also, the debate around cultural policies related to Heritage management, with special focus on the connection between Portugal and the Brazil and its common legacy.
The topics under discussion in this 6th edition of FIPA were:
Theme 1 - Legal, administrative, regulatory, financial and technical means for the protection of architectural heritage
Theme 2 - The expression of multiculturalism in Architectural Heritage
Theme 3 - The preservation of multicultural layers - from archaeology to architecture
Theme 4 - Rehabilitation, comfort and energy. Impacts and challenges of NZEB concepts on built heritage
Theme 5 - The internationalization of Education for Heritage
Theme 6 - Case study (s) of conservation of Architectural Heritage with multicultural expression - the rehabilitation intervention
Theme 7 - From Modernism to the Modern Movement. The defence of 20th century Heritage
