Architecture conferences with Pritzker Prize winners RCR Arquitectes in Lisbon and Porto
Construyendo Paisajes is the title of the series of conferences organised by Espaço de Arquitectura on 23 and 24 September, at 9 pm, in Lisbon and Porto, whose guest studio is the winner of the prestigious 2017 Pritzker Architecture Prize, RCR Arquitectes.
Founded by Rafael Aranda, Carme Pigem and Ramon Vilalta, RCR Arquitectes are internationally acclaimed for their sensitive approach, integrated into the territory, and for their unique architectural language, which values the relationship between human beings, nature and the built environment.
With work that is internationally recognised for its integration with the landscape, its expressive use of materials and its poetic architectural language, RCR Arquitectes will share their vision on the contemporary challenges of housing and sustainability, inviting us to reflect on how the construction of the landscape can transform our relationship with the territory.
This cycle will be an opportunity to learn more about the thinking and creative process of the studio, considered one of the most relevant in contemporary architecture.
The lectures will be given in Spanish, without translation.
LISBON | 23 September | 9 p.m.
Teatro Armando Cortez (Casa do Artista)
PORTO | 24 September | 9 p.m.
