Infinite Span: Exhibition and Activities have mobilized more than 33 thousand people
The Parallel Programme of this Exhibition has mobilized almost 16 thousand people in 35 events, distributed between Portugal and Brazil, country where many meetings dedicated to subjects associated to the exhibition occur.
Considered one of the most significant shows about Brazilian architecture ever made, the Infinitive Span Exhibition was quite searched by students, that represented about 20% of the visitors range.
Around 35% of the people that visited the exhibition were foreigners, standing out Brazilian, naturally, that summed 10% of the visitors from other countries, followed by the British (8,21%) and Spanish (6,36%).
After Portugal, the Infinitive Span Exhibition gets ready to an itinerancy to Brazil. Casa da Arquitectura is in negotiations to take to the origin country the 90 Years of Brazilian Architecture that the display shows. Constituted by 90 projects from 136 architects, the Infinitive Span Exhibition aggregates donated materials given to Casa da Arquitectura by 150 Brazilian donors.
“Infinitive Span Exhibition is the first to be extracted from Casa’s archives during a production process that lasted three years and is an example of our strategy to show architecture to a larger public”, affirmed the Executive Director, Nuno Sampaio. And adds: “It is important to point out how either modern or contemporary’s architects and Brazilian architecture deserves a special attention, not only internationally, but also from Brazilian society as well”.
In a time of prospect and evaluation of what has been achieved, the Executive Director congratulates “the teams of Casa da Arquitectura in Portugal and Brazil for the excellent work developed in the exhibition’s production and activities programme”.
