Open House Porto: call for volunteers until 16 April
According to the curators, "the theme is inspired by the 1959 text by Nuno Portas, entitled 'The responsibility of a brand new generation in the modern movement in Portugal', from which Portas addresses the "architects recently arrived to the professional activity", proposing "the questioning of a brand new generation, not only in their ideas and intentions, but above all in their works."
To make each edition a success, each year we bring together an extraordinary team of volunteers who welcome visitors and offer useful and informed suggestions about the event.
The call for volunteers is open until April 16. We are looking for volunteers aged 16 and over with an interest in the architecture, built heritage and history of the cities of Maia, Matosinhos, Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia and a desire to interact with the public.
The team of volunteers will have the unique opportunity to get to know the programme in detail and have contact with the organisation, with the architects who authored the spaces on the route, as well as with invited specialists.
We count on the availability of all those who want to volunteer to make available about four hours during the weekend. In return, we offer an experience marked by conviviality, discovery and friendship.
