Sustainable Landscape and Architecture Programme: presentation of results

PPAS falls within the scope of the National Architecture and Landscape Policy (PNAP), as a national strategy for promoting the quality of architecture and landscape, with education for sustainability as its foundation. By working directly with the educational community, PPAS has laid the foundations to drive a change in the way children and young people perceive and interact with the world around them, making them more aware, responsible and proactive in the design and preservation of heritage, the built environment and the landscape.

The implementation of the PPAS in the 2023/2024 school year focussed on the 2nd Cycle of Basic Education and included the following actions: Certified teacher training, workshops in five schools in different regions and a national Ideas Competition.
As part of the project, various educational resources were created and are available online, including a Manual for Teachers and Students and an Activity Bank.

The programme developed during the 2023/2024 school year ends with a national event dedicated to education, landscape, architecture, heritage and sustainability, with the dissemination of results, activities and an exhibition of work.

Places are limited and participation is subject to registration at https://www.ppas.pt/evento-nacional-24/inscricao-evento-24.html.
