Virgínio Moutinho Colloquium – at the Architect's Workshop
The exhibition “Virgínio Moutinho – Na Oficina do Arquitecto" (Virgínio Moutinho – In the Architect's Workshop) explores four decades of artistic and experimental creation by architect and toy maker Virgínio Moutinho, bringing together a vast and eclectic collection of works — from handmade toys and automatons to kinetic sculptures and urban art — distributed across various spaces in the Casa da Arquitectura block.
In this context, the colloquium aims to explore the practices and themes central to the architect's work: playfulness as a creative gesture, the role of the workshop as a symbolic and concrete space, and the possible dialogues between architecture, art and toys as forms of invention and imagination.
