Exhibition “What is Missing. 50 Years of Portuguese Architecture in Democracy”
Organized by Casa da Arquitectura, with curatorship by Jorge Figueira and Ana Neiva, this exhibition presents a panoramic reading of architecture in democracy (1974–2024).
The exhibition is drawn from the collection “50 Years of Contemporary Portuguese Architecture”, a body of work created by Casa da Arquitectura that surveys architectural production during the democratic period, with the aim of establishing a collection defined by both territory and time. This collection, curated by Carlos Machado e Moura, Graça Correia, João Belo Rodeia, Jorge Figueira, Paula Melâneo, and Ricardo Carvalho, seeks to promote study and research for all those interested, from which several thematic interpretations will later be developed through exhibitions, activities, and publications. Contributions from other institutions also complement this collection.
