II Architecture Meeting: Interdisciplinary Educational Tool
On 8 October 2025, between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., Casa da Arquitectura, at Espaço Caleidoscópio, will host the second edition of Encontro Arquitectura: Ferramenta Educativa Interdisciplinar (Architecture Meeting: Interdisciplinary Educational Tool), an initiative that can be attended in person or online.
On 8 October 2025, between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., Casa da Arquitectura, at Espaço Caleidoscópio, will host the second edition of the Architecture Meeting: Interdisciplinary Educational Tool, an initiative that can be attended in person or online. The event will be broadcast live on the DGEstE platform and guarantees certified training for registered teachers.
The meeting invites teachers from all levels of education to reflect on the potential of architecture as a starting point for innovative and interdisciplinary educational practices. Among the topics highlighted will be the relationship between architecture and areas such as Science, Art, History, Citizenship and Sustainability.
The Educational Service of Casa da Arquitectura will also present the theoretical component of its pedagogical action in schools, demonstrating how built space can be a catalyst for critical thinking, creativity, and active learning.
The initiative features a diverse panel of speakers:
- Maria Emanuel Albergaria, intermunicipal coordinator of the National Arts Plan
- Marco Ginoulhiac, architect and associate professor at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto
- Ana Barroca (director) and Sofia Sousa (educational director) of Scholé
- Inês Lourenço, coordinator of the Educational Service of Casa da Arquitectura
- Eliana Nuñez, producer of educational content for the Educational Service of Casa da Arquitectura
Participation in this activity can be done in person at Casa da Arquitectura or online on the CFAE Matosinhos Platform, subject to prior registration for teachers who wish to obtain certification. Registration at: CFAE Matosinhos
Open to the general public via the DGEstE YouTube channel, the meeting is held with the support of the National Arts Plan, DGEstE and CFAE Matosinhos, and is an opportunity for sharing, inspiration and building bridges between education and architecture.
