The selection that makes up this new guided tour programme includes a group of buildings in the city that aim to be as representative as possible of the recent transformations in the urban fabric of Porto.

On 7 June, at 4 pm, the Pop - Porto Office Park building will be highlighted with a guided tour by the developer, architect Andrea Ferreira, COO of the Violas Ferreira Group, and architect João Monteiro from the architectural firm Broadway Malyan, which designed the project.

Image capture is limited to common areas and should not include offices (image capture by the public on the 7th floor is prohibited).

Free admission, subject to capacity.

The architecturally bold development sets a new benchmark in the office market in the city of Porto. With two symmetrical buildings, each with nine floors, surrounded by a new urban park and supported by a support building with leisure and sports areas, a symbiosis between technology, design and nature is created.

With a focus on sustainability, the project achieved BREEAM ‘excellent’ certification, with the incorporation of prefabrication and modularity, optimisation of construction and reduction of carbon emissions. The offices are designed as simple divisible floors with central cores (common spaces), maximising the efficiency and flexibility of the workspaces. The façade was designed in two-storey modules, 8.4 metres high, creating a vertical rhythm of dark textured lines. The double height of the slats transforms the scale of the building, accentuating its verticality and making it a distinctive feature.

At night, the verticality is further emphasised by the use of random lines of light that ‘jump’ from the top of the vertical blades. The concept maximises natural lighting and allows a panoramic view over the city of Porto, without compromising passive solar radiation control, with the position of the blades adapted to each solar orientation. The buildings take on a changing appearance throughout the day, with the blades varying in tone as the sun moves across the sky.

The harmonious integration of the buildings with the new urban green space reflects an image of continuity and integration with the surroundings, enhancing the overall feeling of well-being inside the buildings. The organic and minimalist exterior design features a sequence of spaces for relaxation and leisure, with paths for walking/strolling and ‘discovery’.
