Visit to Tidal Pool

The Tidal Pool (Piscina das Marés) is one of the best entry points into Álvaro Siza's architecture. Built in the 1960s, it is embedded in the rock and sand, revealing the deep understanding of the context that would define the Porto architect's later work. A National Monument since 2011, the Tidal Pool is part of the itinerary of works considered reference for students, architects or simply lovers of contemporary architecture.
