Visit to Dom Pedro Quinto Residence
Between February and July 2024, Porto City Council and Casa da Arquitectura have teamed up to develop the "Porto de Arquitetura" event, a cycle of free architectural visits open to the public upon prior registration, which will take place in a series of eight buildings in the city that are representative of the most recent contemporary architecture developed here. Each visit will be accompanied by a talk with the architects and other personalities linked to the spaces, which will give an insider's view of the process of designing, building and restoring the works.

The Dom Pedro Quinto project combines the restoration of the manor house in the centre of the site, transformed into a boutique hotel, with the construction of new houses ranging from studio to three-bedroom units, and with distinct but cohesive housing concepts, carefully crafted on the terraced site.
With a layout that respects the history of the three streets that surround the condominium, the project incorporated the structuring elements of Porto's urban topography, the terraces and granite walls in contrast to the concrete construction of the housing units and complemented by the vegetation suspended from beams that demarcate the land and the gardens of the units.
The large outdoor areas complement the unique hilltop location and offer a unique view over the River Douro.
