Visit SAAL Porto

In the year that marks the 50th anniversary of the 25th of April, Casa da Arquitectura Tours proposes a walking tour of three architectural interventions that illustrate the impact of the SAAL programme in Porto: Bairro do Leal by Sérgio Fernandez, Bairro da Lapa by Alfredo Matos Ferreira and Beatriz Madureira, and Bairro da Bouça by Álvaro Siza Vieira.

These three examples, which are geographically close to each other, allow us to promote a dialogue about these works and their unique historical period of promoting participatory public housing and their current circumstances.
The guided tour will feature the contribution of architect Sérgio Fernandez, in the intervention of which he is the author, followed by the guidance of architect Júlio Senra from Casa da Arquitectura.
