Visit to Lusíada University
Between February and July 2024, Porto City Council and Casa da Arquitectura have teamed up to organise the "Porto de Arquitetura" event, a series of free architectural visits open to the public upon prior registration, which will take place in a series of eight buildings in the city that are representative of the latest contemporary architecture developed here.
Each visit is accompanied by a talk with the architects and other personalities linked to the spaces, which will give an insider's view of the process of designing, building and restoring the works.

An institution that has been part of the city's history for the last 30 years, the Lusíada University of Porto recently built its new facilities in one of the city's most central areas, close to the City Park and the Serralves Foundation. Lusíada University's new building fulfils its desire to improve teaching and working conditions for its students, teachers and staff.
Alongside this aim, which was realised in auditoriums, classrooms and services, other elements were integrated, such as a square for informal community gatherings, with the library as a central and symbolic element, and non-functioning spaces open to life and appropriation. This building resulted in the qualification of the urban area in which it is located and justified the clarification of the surrounding road structure.
