Visit to M.Ou.Co Hotel
Between February and July 2024, Porto City Council and Casa da Arquitectura have teamed up to organise the "Porto de Arquitetura" event, a series of free architectural visits open to the public upon prior registration, which will take place in a series of eight buildings in the city that are representative of the latest contemporary architecture developed here.
Each visit is accompanied by a conversation with the architects and other personalities linked to the spaces, which will give an insider's view of the process of designing, building and restoring the works.

Theme: "Tourism and culture as city assets"
This building represents an alternative approach in the conversion of an electrical components factory, turning it into a multiple space, with accommodation geared towards the musical universe as its basic program. It is already an essential cultural and hotel complex in the city. Located in Bonfim, the M.Ou.Co. Hotel was conceived on the basis of a multidisciplinary concept geared towards the musical world, making it a cultural venue of choice.
Covering a total of 5,000 m2, it includes a concert hall, music library, 62 studios and rooms, restaurant, bar, swimming pool, terrace and gardens. It was nominated for the National Urban Rehabilitation Award 2022 (tourist category, Link Press, Vida Imobiliária) and for Best Rehabilitation Project and Tourist Project 2022 (Construir Awards).
