Guided tour of the M-odu (Former Slaughterhouse)
Parallel Programme of the exhibition Kengo Kuma: Onomatopoeia
A guided tour of the M-odu (Former Slaughterhouse) in Campanhã will take place on 17 January at 11:30, as part of the Parallel Programme of the exhibition Kengo Kuma: Onomatopoeia, currently on view at Casa da Arquitectura.
With an estimated duration of one hour, the tour will be led by architect Miguel Rebelo, from Kengo Kuma and Associates, authors of the project to reconvert the site, in co-authorship with the Porto-based studio OODA.
Participation is free of charge and limited to 25 people*
We would like to inform you that, for safety reasons, it will not be possible to carry out the visit to M-odu (former Porto Slaughterhouse), scheduled for tomorrow, January 17, 2026.
The visit will be rescheduled to an alternative date, to be announced. All registered participants will be duly contacted, both by email and by phone, to provide the necessary information and clarification.
* Mandatory requirements:
- Mandatory use of closed, flat shoes.
- Minimum age of 12 to participate in the event. Minors (ages 12–17) must be accompanied by an adult.
- Worksite under construction – Includes areas and surfaces that are not accessible to people with reduced mobility; for safety reasons, participation by people with reduced mobility will not be permitted.
- Restroom facilities will not be available at the event location.
- Failure to comply with the above conditions will result in exclusion from the visit.

Casa da Arquitectura (CA) - Portuguese Centre for Architecture is preparing to host, from 4 October to 8 March, the exhibition ‘Kengo Kuma: Onomatopoeia’, dedicated to one of the most renowned names in contemporary architecture worldwide.
