Exhibition Rational Organic
Pedro Ramalho
The exhibition ''Organic Rational'' on the work of the architect Pedro Ramalho, curated by Nuno Brandão Costa and based on a look at his collection donated to Casa da Arquitectura, was part of a selection of ten works by the Porto architect built in the district of Porto from the 60s to the present, portraying various programmes and scales of intervention.
According to Nuno Brandão Costa, here it was intended ''to reveal the importance, the unique quality and the coherence of his body of work, demonstrating the physical and conceptual resistance of his buildings and the timelessness of his architecture, impervious to trends, stylistic fads, current or critical agendas.''
The exhibition entitled "Organic Rational" proposes a view-synthesis of the work of the architect Pedro Ramalho, conceived from a look at his collection recently donated to Casa da Arquitetura. The exhibition aims to reveal the importance, the unique quality and the coherence of its body of work, demonstrating the physical and conceptual resistance of his buildings and the timelessness of his architecture, impervious to trends, stylistic fads, currents or critical agendas.
