Guided Visits to the Archive
The Archive is the heart of the Casa da Arquitectura. It is here that national and international architectural collections and collections are kept and preserved, consisting of drawings, models, photographs, textual documents and other objects. It is a documentary set, of enormous interest and relevance in the world architecture panorama, by architects such as Eduardo Souto de Moura, Paulo Mendes da Rocha, Pritzker Prize winners, Pedro Ramalho, João Álvaro Rocha, Francisco Melo and Jorge Gigante, Gonçalo Byrne and João Luís Carrilho da Graça.
During this visit, the public can access spaces that, for reasons of safety and environmental control, are of restricted access. The visit, accompanied by specialized technicians, allows free access to the entire archive and equipment area, with an explanation of the various steps of archival treatment and packaging of the different materials, techniques and formats in the respective warehouses. Includes access to the model deposit.
