Invited by the president of Casa da Arquitectura, José Manuel Dias da Fonseca, the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, visited for the first time Casa da Arquitectura, which in November 2017 opened its doors as the Portuguese Centre for Architecture.  

The material of the Brazilian Architecture Collection arrived in Portugal and this precious collection is in the care of Casa da Arquitectura – Portuguese Centre for Architecture, in Matosinhos.  

The 4th edition of Open House Porto, which took place over the weekend under the theme of industrial architecture, was the most visited ever, with a total of 31 768 visits. 

Located in the centre of Matosinhos, two steps away from the beach, Casa da Arquitectura is a structure that combines the excellence of its facilities with a prestigious cultural and urban presence.

Many guests, friends and the general public went through the doors of the Casa da Arquitectura (CA) – Portuguese Centre for Architecture, in Matosinhos, for the inauguration of the exhibition “The House of Democracy – Between Space and Power”, which could be visited until April 15, 2018.

An exhibition about the way Palácio de São Bento architectural evolution and Portugal political evolution intersect was held at Casa da Arquitectura, in Matosinhos. 

Casa da Arquitectura, organizer and producer of Open House Porto, was present at the 3rd Open House Worlwide International Conference which will take place in London, from January 31 to February 2018.
